The VBHSA is a not for profit 501(c)(3), volunteer organization consisting of hundreds of members. Our membership includes young riders, juniors, adult amateurs, professionals, and people who have a love of horses.
We have been holding recognized horse shows in southeastern Virginia since 1973!
Your contribution helps us to continue supporting our members who are competitors of all ages with awards & prizes for their hard work and efforts throughout the show season.
It also helps to cover the costs of our recognized horse shows, annual Kick-Off Derby Show and Cooler Show as well as our Year-End Banquet.

Our annual Kick-Off Derby and Cooler Horse Show are the VBHSA’s fundraising shows.
It allows the VBHSA to not only provide awards and ribbons to our wonderful and hardworking exhibitors, but allows the VBHSA to continue in the support of our horse showing community throughout the show season.
Your support means a great deal to all our competitors and those working behind the scenes.
The VBHSA Year-End Awards Banquet is held to congratulate our competitors and reward them for their committment throughout the show season.
Your support helps us to not only purchase individual awards and prizes for them, it also helps to offset the overhead costs of putting on this wonderful annual event for our members.
